House arrest…again!
A little over 3 years ago when we came home from the NICU we were unable to venture out in public and had to limit Kellars exposure to the outside world and all that germs that were lingering out there. Here we are 3 years later and….we’re on house arrest again. I posted a few post back that I had decided to hold off on putting Kellar in school because there is a flu going around “swine flu” and it looks like it has hit our area rather hard the last few weeks. I have not sent Kellar to daycare in several weeks, we don’t go shopping on the weekends and for sure no play dates with other children. The fair is in town and as much fun as I know he’d have I am not taking him there, I can only imagine the germs that are floating around that place. I’m actually pretty amazed at how people are reacting to this flu outbreak, you have some who have not a care in the world, some who know they are not feeling well yet continue to go out in public, to school, to the fair and are exposing everyone who is around them. I suppose that couple of hours of fun is worth it to them although not only can their children end up sick but also other children they may come in contact with. It stinks that you have to depend on others to use good judgement! I know that I can’t keep him from all germs, Joey and I both work in public but I’ll do anything within my means to try and limit his exposure. The vaccines should be released sometime in the next month, this is a hot topic amongst some parents and they are not at all in favor of giving such a new vaccine, I however feel that it’s something that I need to do. Until the vaccine comes out I’ll just continue to pray that Kellar stays healthy and that my choice was the right one.
3rd Birthday pics….
Yep I’m late as usual, Kellar turned 3 in April and I’m just getting around to getting my lil mans pictures made, they were super adorable even if they are months late. Kellar is not a big fan of the camera so I’m surprised we got as many good shots as we did.

Of course I couldn’t choose just a few so we left with all of them on order! Looking at the pictures you would never guess that he’d be laying here beside me hours later running a 101.6 temp with no voice left! Please say a little prayer that he gets over what ever this is quickly, I’m super parnoid.
