Party Party Party!!!!

We had a combined birthday party this past Saturday for Kellar and Sydney, they were born exactly one week apart. The party was great! There were kids everywhere. The day started out with some thunder and a few sprinkles and a little on the chilly side, which is probably why my child has a runny nose. The kiddos chowed down on hot dogs and chips while the adults stuffed themselves on brisket, smoked sausages, potato salad, spinach salad and baked beans. Yummy!!! I still can not believe that my little boy turned 2, he is growing up so fast…even tinkled in the potty again the other day, normally his potty time consist of him sitting on Elmo for a split second getting up and taking 3 steps and tinkling on the floor. He’s such a big boy! Kellar got lots of goodies. Thank you to those who came out and celebrated the day with us, we love you!!!

My baby is 2!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Kellar!!!! I can not believe how fast the past 2 years have just flown by. I sit here and at times find myself wanting to cry, not because I’m upset but because I am reminded of how far you have come, how much you have accomplished in these last 2 years. You have learned to walk, you are learning new words each and every day and you continue to bring so much joy to my life. I love you! 2 years ago Kellar you came into this world 14 wks too soon, you were 1 lb 12 oz and today I look at you ( all 28 lbs 10 oz of you ) and thank God for what he has done in your life and for allowing me to be the one you call MOM!! I love you Bear…

You’ll always be my Lil’ King…

Today was Kellars last day as Baby Mister Liberty-Eylau, sort of hard to believe that a year has come and gone already. Although he may have given up his title today, he will always be King Kellar around this house.

Baby Mister Liberty-Eylau

Good morning everyone! My name is Kellar and I am the reigning Baby Mister Liberty-Eylau. It is hard to believe that the year has come and gone, time sure does fly when you are having fun and learning to do many new and exciting things. Being crowned Baby Mister Liberty-Eylau was just one of the many things I have accomplished in the last year. The day of the pageant I celebrated not only my winning but my 1st birthday and tomorrow I will be celebrating my 2nd birthday, mommy says she wishes I’d stop growing because she really misses the little baby that she could sit and hold all day long. Speaking of little baby, take a good look at me and try and guess how far I have come in the last 2 years. Are you ready for this, I was born 14 weeks early and started out at 1 lb 12 oz, talk about a huge accomplishment. I think full term is way overrated! I have finally figured out how to walk, this made my mommy and daddy very proud especially since the dr’s said I may never be able to do this, guess I showed them. I am working on speech and learning new words everyday, be careful what you say around me I love to repeat things almost as much as I love to eat. Green beans are my absolute favorite. There are so many things that I love to do. I enjoy spending time outside, sliding on my slide and running wild in MeMe and Paws yard, I hear my mommy saying how I wear her out after being outside for 10 minutes…little does she know I’m just getting started. Today I am giving up my title as Baby Mister Liberty-Eylau, I hope the new King will have as much fun representing us little guys as I have. Good luck fellas!!!

Since Kellar doesn’t have enough meds..

lets add 3 more and breathing treatments every hour. Lets see, we have oral steroids for the junky sounding rattling wheezing chest, we have antibiotics for the junky sounding rattling wheezing chest and we have congestion medicine for the….well congestion. We have breathing treatments every hour, tylenol and motrin as needed for fever. I think that about covers it. This coughing just started yesterday and already we are on *alert* for any change in his breathing, any worsening of the coughing, so now of course I am watching his stomach rise and fall looking for retracting, leaning over while he’s sleeping and listening to him breathe. He seems to feel okay though, he’s up playing right now, he’ll play for a few minutes then come and lay his head down on me ( I’m sure he’s slyly wiping his nose when I’m not paying attention ) and then within a few minutes he’ll get back up and go play again. Ears and throat look good however, strange considering he pulls at his ear constantly and at times cries when you touch it. Let’s please pray that Kellars cold doesn’t turn into pneumonia!!!

Top lip drip…

Yes you figured it out, Kellar still has a very very runny nose, which in turn runs down and drips off his top lip, that is if he doesn’t find something to wipe it on beforehand, that something being say uhm my shirt, my pants, our couch just to name a few. I am debating on whether I need to take him in, fever last week, runny nose and coughing this week. I do have our own little Kellar pharmacy here at the house and have gotten several prescriptions out and googled what they treat, yes we have that many that I for the life of me can not remember which is for congestion, which is for allergys, which is for coughing, which may possibly treat all of the above. I now have a lovely sore throat and some serious drainage going on, lucky for Kellar my nose isn’t running or his pants and shirts would be fair game. I love my snotty lil man! Kellars balance has improved sooooo much, so so much! The therapist even commented on it today, Kellar falls less and less and he’s even gotten pretty good at stepping off of things with no falls, he actually looks like a toddler that has been walking longer than a month or so now!! Yippee. Today he brought me my shoes when I asked ( thank goodness his nose didn’t need wiping or my ugg boots would have been one expensive kleenex ) and then clapped when I praised him. Hopefully being around the kids will also help build his immunity, I’m starting to think me being cooped up inside a house around no kids other than Kellar has weakened mine as well, maybe I need to start sipping out of all their cups, eating after them and work on building mine up as well? Nahhh I think I’ll pass for now!
