Happy Easter….
We hope each and everyone one of our readers had a very Happy Easter. Good thing Kellar got to hunt eggs Friday at his MeMe’s with the kiddos because Easter day was spent indoors with a fever, cough and runny nose. Kellar did have a blast at the party though, he loves being outside and is just as content stepping up onto the sidewalk and off the sidewalk as he was drinking juice and eating cookies. There were kids everywhere in search of the 330 eggs that were hid out, it’s really hilarious to sit back and watch them scurrying about the yard in search of these candy filled eggs, some eggs had a slip of paper in them that was later revealed for prizes. Kellar was wore out by time we got home, cranky oh man was he ever cranky…guess that’s why we call him “Bear”. Saturday we went to town and did our usual grocery shopping with MeMe and Kellar was coughing non-stop, his nose started running and I noticed that he had these red blotchy looking spots on the back of his neck, I wonder if he was allergic to this Tylenol multi symptom medicine that I gave him, within 3 hrs or so the spot was really big and he was scratching at it, all the while being really cranky. Saturday night was not the night for rest, I was so tired and I know that Kellar was as well but he could not get comfortable, he was running a fever, coughing constantly, his nose was running and I could tell he felt terrible. We gave him a breathing treatment because he seemed to be breathing sort of fast, no wheezing or retracting just seemed faster than what I’m used to from him. He tossed and he turned, he whined and cried. I had planned on taking him to my parents church this morning but I was hesitant to get him out. Joey noticed that his ear had drained so much that it was all over the side of his face, pretty nasty I know but I have never seen this much stuff come out of one persons ear and I clean his ears often. The Easter bunny was very generous to Kellar though, he must have known that he wasn’t feeling well because he didn’t put any eggs out in the yard for him but he did however fill his basket up with lots and lots of goodies. Kellar also got goodies from his MeMe, Aunt Kay Kay and his Brookie-Poo, yes I’m sure you can tell by now that they love to spoil him rotten.

Kellar and Syd…
Courtney and I decided to get the kiddos together to *try* and get some pictures of them for their birthday and stuff, notice I said *try*. This was next to impossible, my son was like a animal that had been caged up and just somehow found a weak spot in that cage and managed to break loose. Wild child. As soon as his feet hit the ground outside, he’s gone and good luck keeping him where YOU want him to be. Finally after putting him back in the same spot oh say uhm 50 times we gave up and just started shooting whatever we could, I managed to get some decent shots of them, got some of him in action and most importantly I got my workout for the day. My brother came out and played with them for a little bit then he brought the four-wheeler around, wow instant stillness. Why didn’t someone think of that sooner, I mean come on what kid wouldn’t be soothed by a four-wheeler. After all the fun of running around the yard I came home to stain stick the grass stains that Kellar accumulated on his shirts and shorts.

Just call me…
Grace please. Today marks the 2nd time I have fell in less than a week, though I would take slipping in the front yard on snow anyday over flipping off the side of my porch. Yes that’s right instead of falling down my front steps ( think back to last year in Feb when I broke my ankle ) I fell off the side of my back door steps. How did I manage to do this, I have yet to figure it out. Guess who was on the phone with me, yes that’s right my mother, I’m thinking the only time I need to be on the phone with her is when I am sitting. I am so sore, my legs throb with every step I take but the ginormous bruise on the back of my leg is quite colorful and the knot on my rt thigh is in just the right spot for Kellar to tap on when he needs my attention, or put a knee into when he’s climbing in my lap, hurts just thinking about it. Again just call me Grace please.
We have…
SNOW!!!! I so badly want to just get a picture of Tinky out in it. I am sitting in the floor just watching it pour down, Kellar could care less as long as Blue is on, the cat went to the door and took a look then pranced off and is now curled up on the floor. It is so pretty, but one word of advice ( keep in mind I am from TX ) DO NOT and I repeat..DO NOT wear flip flops out in the snow while chasing your puppy as it could lead to your falling, catching yourself with your wrist and sending a jolt of pain up to your neck, which then will have a crick in it for apparently the rest of the day..not to mention the dilemma of how do you get up, one wrist you have jarred so hard it’s lost feeling, the other hand holds a phone that has your laughing mother on the other end and suddenly the dog that was running from you is now all over you and you realize you are soaking wet down to your underwear. So there I sat praying that 1.) none of the neighbors saw this 2.) no one passes by or if they do maybe they’ll at least think I was trying to make a snow angel while wearing my pajamas…and flip flops?
El-l-lo….
Is yellow in Tinky talk..Gosh I love this kid. I have been working with Kellar on his colors, we color in the bath tub, I wish you could see the artwork on the sides of my tub. Tonight I would put 2 colors in my hand and have him hand me the color I asked for, he was able to pick out the colors yellow, blue and orange ( the red and green broke ). I am very proud of him, yes he does get them wrong occasionally but I really feel that he is learning. His pillowcase has Elmo on it, he woke up the other morning and pointed to the yellow and said “el-l-lo”. If I start counting as soon as I get 1 out he will say 2, or he’ll hold up both pointer fingers. We work on spelling his name, when I say K he follows with E, of course I know we have a long ways to go before he’s spelling and writing his name but he amazes me with what he remembers. Our direction following could use a little fine tuning, but we’ll get there, some days are better than others. His balance could use a whole lot of fine tuning, the knot on his forehead is proof of that…the kid bout gave me a heart attack tonight when he hit his head on the end table, all I seen was a *dent* on his forehead and a few fuzzy stars floating around in my eyes…no I don’t do well at all when my child gets hurt. After the feeling of me needing to puke left, I realized that Kellar was fine and right back over there to where it all took place, do kids ever learn? We are supposed to get some snow here tonight, to bad Kellars nose has been invaded by the green boogy monster. I really feel it’s this crrrrrazy weather we are having here, on Monday a tornado hit 15 miles or so from here, then that night it snowed and here we are again tonight with a chance of snow. I’m excited!!
